This is an article about John Twigg, a Project Mercury test conductor, who in 1961 took Gus Grissom on a tour of a new facility that the astronaut had never seen before.
That facility? Pad 34.
Wow. Amazing, eerie. But when Twigg caught himself choking up I choked up.
